How to: Set up a branch within the same presentation.
Solution:
Create a button, select the button, and select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Interactive Settings...'.
1) Move to the slide on which to set up the branch.
2) Create a button or insert a clip-art image to use as a button:
a) Select the desired symbol for the button (i.e., square or circle) from the 'Drawing' toolbar.
b) Drag the mouse on the presentation until the button is the desired size.
3) Select the button just created or inserted.
4) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Interactive Settings...'. (The 'Interactive Settings' dialog box appears.)
5) Select the 'Go to' radio button in the 'Action On Click' group.

6) Select the desired slide to which to branch from the 'Go to' drop-down list.
7) (Special Case) If 'Slides...' is selected:

a) Select a slide to branch to from the 'Slides' list, in the 'Go To Slide' dialog box.
b) Click 'OK'. (The 'Interactive Settings' dialog box reappears.)
8) (Optional) Select the desired sound to play during the branch transition from the 'Play Sound' drop-down list box.
9) Click 'OK'.
10) To return to the original slide after branching, follow steps 1) through 8) to create a button on the branch slide that branches back to the original slide.
NOTE: During a slide show, click the button, to branch to the desired slide.
